Get tires that are recommended for an electric car or hybrid

all-season tires

Not all car tires are recommended for use on electric cars or hybrids, as they do require tires that are more wear resistant. They have a higher weight than traditional combustion engine cars and the torque will be higher causing higher wear on the drive axles. This is why you need tires with low rolling resistance, low wear and you will need to rotate the tires more frequently. Rotation can extend the life with more than 50% and even out the wear so that you can change all four tires at the same time. You always want to have best grip on the rear axle to prevent the vehicle to oversteer.

There are all different types of tires available for any type of season that are recommended for electrical vehicles. You have your all-season tires, your all-weather tires and then finally your winter tires.  They are all great choice for your vehicle for the different weather conditions.  If you have winter conditions, then you will have to have tires that are approved for winter use. You can use winter approved all-weather tires, which allows you to keep one set of tires trough out the year.

Most hybrid and electrical cars come equipped with all-season tires from the factory. So if you plan to drive in winter conditions, then you will need to get a set of winter tires or then try to negotiate so that they will fit the car with all-season tires instead. It is important that they have low rolling resistance  it decreases the amount of energy needed for each journey allowing the electric or hybrid car to go further on every charge.
